“Stuffed Animal Pile No.1” was the first Quilts oil painting, alongside “One Thousand Moments”, and the catalyst to the entire series. This painting was also one of the centerpieces at Brent’s 2022-2023 Long Beach Museum of Art solo show.

The composition of this painting is inspired by Brent's famous Stuffed Animal Piles series where every inch of the canvas is treated with the same intention and attention to detail. The composition is also reminiscent of a highly pixelated Stuffed Animal Pile.

One of the real magical aspects to the Quilts series is the color… Brent’s real specialty in oil painting. The colors in this piece are Brent’s iconic and essentials of his Stuffed Animal Pile palette including: Plushie Pink, Teddy Bear Brown and Hue Black (made up of 8 different colorful pigments).
